Two juvenile suspects arrested for the homicide of Robert Marks.
On May 25, 2021, the Gilroy Police Department, along with the Santa Clara County District Attorney Investigators Office, the Morgan Hill Police Department, the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office, the Santa Clara County Special Enforcement Team (SCCSET), and the Regional Enforcement Allied Computer Team (REACT) served multiple search warrants in Gilroy, San Martin, and Morgan Hill. As a result of the search warrants, numerous items were seized, to include two firearms and ammunition.
During the joint operation, two male juvenile suspects, ages 15 and 16, were arrested for homicide, conspiracy to commit homicide, and participation in a criminal street gang. Both suspects were booked into Santa Clara County Juvenile Hall. Since both suspects are juveniles, their personal information and booking photographs are being withheld.
The search warrants were served in connection with the homicide of 21-year-old Robert Marks in Gilroy on January 2, 2021. Robert was shot and killed at the intersection of Mantelli Drive and Santa Teresa Boulevard. Robert was a Gilroy resident who attended local schools and worked for CalTrain.
