INCIDENT: Felony Evading & Felon in Possession of a Firearm
LOCATION: 18000 Shoshonee Road, Apple Valley
SUSPECT(S): Andre Aaron Wade, a 24-year-old resident of Adelanto
SUMMARY: On Thursday, May 20, 2021, at 6:15 pm, deputies from the Apple Valley Police Department were dispatched to the 18000 block of Shoshonee Road for a subject with a gun. The subject was later identified as convicted felon Andre Aaron Wade.
Upon arrival, Deputy Vallejo located Wade inside his vehicle. When Vallejo attempted to make contact, Wade fled the scene in his vehicle, and a pursuit ensued. During the pursuit, Wade drove 80 mph through residential neighborhoods, into on-coming traffic, crashed into a curb and a fence which ultimately disabled his vehicle. Wade was taken into custody without further incident. During a vehicle search, deputies located a box of ammunition and a handgun.
Wade was booked into the High Desert Detention Center for felony evading and a felon in possession of a firearm. He is scheduled to appear in the Victorville Superior Court on June 2, 2021, and is being held in lieu of $100,000 bail.
