Advisory

Dogs Running at Large

Now that spring & summer have arrived and COVID restrictions have eased, more and more residents are out walking the neighborhood with their children and pets.  The Port Vue Police Department is advising all borough residents they are responsible for keeping control of their dogs within their property or tied up on runs.  He have had several situations recently of aggressive dogs breaking chains on their property, getting through fencing or getting through doorways and chasing and attacking people and pets walking outside.  People and pets have been injured on several occasions.  Please be advised that ALL cases of dogs running at large will be reported to Animal Control for further investigation and possibly heavy fines & citations.  Remember, it is YOUR responsibility to properly secure your dog on your property and while walking your dog on public streets so we all have a safer experience while outside enjoying the neighborhood.
