* At 555 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1.5 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

This includes the following highways... Kansas Turnpike between mile markers 206 and 226. Interstate 435 between mile markers 6 and 24...and between mile markers 38 and 57. Interstate 35 in Kansas between mile markers 230 and 235. Interstate 635 between mile markers 0 and 12. Interstate 29 between mile markers 0 and 11. Interstate 35 in Missouri between mile markers 0 and 16. Interstate 70 in Kansas between mile markers 410 and 423. Interstate 70 in Missouri between mile markers 0 and 4.
