* WHAT...Significant lakeshore flooding.

* WHERE...Wayne County.

* WHEN...Until 4 AM EDT Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Numerous roads closed and low lying property including parking lots, lawns, and homes and businesses will be inundated near the lake. Some shoreline erosion will occur.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...At 1145 AM, the water level of Lake Erie at Gibraltar had risen to 72.80 inches above low water datum. Gusty northeast winds on Lake Erie will persist into the overnight before slowly weakening. Expect the persistence of these winds may push the water levels up a little higher, possibly to 74 or 75 inches above low water datum by this evening.

If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may be closed. Do not drive around barricades or through water of unknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone property.
