The National Weather Service in San Angelo has issued a

* Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for... Sutton County in west central Texas...

* Until 500 AM CDT.

* At 307 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. One to one and a half inches of rainfall is expected, which may result in minor flooding of low lying areas, low water crossings, and roadways.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include... Sonora, The Intersection Of Us-277 And Ranch Road 189, The Intersection Of I-10 And Ranch Road 1989 and The Intersection Of Ranch Road 2596 And Ranch Road 864. This includes the following highways... Interstate 10 between Mile Markers 387 and 418.

* AFFECTED AREAS: SUTTON, TX

Instructions:

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
