Full Notification

On June 1, 2021, at 11:37 am, the Shorewood Police Department was advised of multiple subjects attempting to illegally enter parked vehicles.  The subjects involved attempted vehicle entries in both Shorewood and Whitefish Bay. 

A witness provided a description of the suspects and the vehicle they were driving.  At 11:40 am, Officers from Whitefish Bay located the suspect vehicle northbound on Wilson Drive heading towards Hampton Ave.  Officers attempted to stop the vehicle but the vehicle fled and crashed at Santa Monica Blvd. and Landcaster Ave a short time later.  All three suspects involved in this incident were taken in custody and transported to the Whitefish Bay Police Department. 

The vehicle driven by the suspects was later determined to have been stolen out of the City of Milwaukee. 

There were three vehicle entries reported in Shorewood that may be connected to this incident.  Two entries were in the 4500 block of N Woodburn St. and the other was in the 4400 Block of N Morris Blvd.  In two of the incidents in Shorewood, the suspects broke a window on the vehicle in order to gain entry.
