Advisory
The outdoor tornado warning sirens are to be heard when you are out of doors to warn you to take shelter and get more information from other sources such as the media and/or NOAA all-hazards weather radios. However, other sounds such as mowing, heavy freeway traffic, construction, etc. may make them difficult to hear. It is always advisable to have another means of being alerted to severe weather, such as a phone app or NOAA weather radio, especially when you are indoors.
