The National Weather Service in San Angelo has issued a
* Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for... Sutton County in west central Texas...
* Until 715 AM CDT.
* At 513 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms, with some of these storms producing 1 to 2 inches of rainfall, as well as isolated higher amounts. This will cause urban and small stream flooding.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include... Sonora, Interstate 10 and Highway 277 in Sutton County, as well as secondary and Farm to Market roads in rural areas of Sutton County. This includes the following Low Water Crossings... River Road crossing North Llano River. This includes the following highways... Interstate 10 between Mile Markers 380 and 433.
* AFFECTED AREAS: SUTTON, TX
Instructions:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
