On 6/5/21 at 8:50pm, the Sheboygan Police Department investigated an accidental shooting. The victim, an 18 year old male from Sheboygan Falls, presented to the Emergency Department at Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center with a gunshot wound to the pelvic region.
 
The subsequent investigation revealed that the victim was with a friend, a 21 year Sheboygan male, at a residence in the 900 block of New York Avenue. The 21 year old had recently purchased a handgun and was manipulating it when he accidentally shot his friend.
 
The 18 year old male sustained non life threatening injuries as a result. The 21 year old male was referred to the Sheboygan County District Attorney's Office for a charge of second degree recklessly endangering safety, and was transported to jail.
