Noblesville, IN - On June 5, 2021, at approximately 9:12 p.m., police officers from the Noblesville Police Department responded to the intersection of Boden Road and 146^th Street (Noblesville) in reference to a report of a motor vehicle crash involving a motorcycle and SUV.
 
Based on preliminary information, it appears that a 2021 Chevrolet Equinox was facing northbound on Boden Road in the left turn lane and was preparing to turn left (west) onto 146^th Street just prior to the crash occurring. Witnesses stated the driver of the Chevrolet turned left into the path of a 2009 Harley Davidson motorcycle that was traveling southbound through the intersection on Boden Road. The operator and passenger of the motorcycle were thrown from the vehicle as a result of the crash.
 
The operator of the motorcycle was identified as Matthew D. Cooper, 37, of Cicero, IN. Cooper suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported by ground ambulance to I.U. Health Saxony Hospital (Fishers, IN). He was pronounced deceased a short time later.
 
The driver of the Chevrolet Equinox was identified as Deborah A. Dunn, 65, of Noblesville. Dunn did not suffer any injuries in the crash.
 
The passenger on the Harley Davidson was identified as Mya D. Cooper, 29, of Cicero, IN. Cooper sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported by ground ambulance to Ascension St. Vincent Hospital (Indianapolis) and was reported to be in stable condition.  
 
The intersection of Boden Road and 146^th Street was restricted or closed until approximately 12:41 a.m. as investigators from the NPD Accident Reconstruction Unit collected information for the crash investigation.             
 
At this time, it does not appear that alcohol, drugs, or weather contributed to the cause of the crash.
