Fire hydrant flushing 
Fire hydrant flushing continues this week on Wednesday (6/9) and Thursday (6/10) for all streets east of Springfield Pike and those streets west of Springfield Pike that are north of Fleming Road.
Hydrant flushing and may cause cloudy or red water in some areas. Water is safe to drink, but laundry should be done the day before or several days after flushing to avoid potentially damaging clothes. Regular flushing prevents the buildup of sediments and allows us to regularly check that all hydrants are working properly. We appreciate your patience during these flushing sessions.
