Severe Thunderstorm Warning until 07:00PM Monday

The National Weather Service in Jackson has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for... Morehouse Parish in northeastern Louisiana... Richland Parish in northeastern Louisiana... West Carroll Parish in northeastern Louisiana... Northern Franklin Parish in northeastern Louisiana...

* Until 700 PM CDT.

* At 536 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 7 miles east of Huttig to near Sterlington to 19 miles southwest of Brownsville-Bawcom, moving east at 30 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and nickel size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Severe thunderstorms will be near... Beekman around 555 PM CDT. Bastrop around 600 PM CDT. Jones around 625 PM CDT. Buckner around 630 PM CDT. Alto around 640 PM CDT. Goodwill around 645 PM CDT. Mangham and Archibald around 650 PM CDT. Darnell around 655 PM CDT. Other locations impacted by these severe thunderstorms include Baskin, Collinston, Mer Rouge, Pioneer, Kilbourne, Forest, Bonita, Oak Ridge and Epps.

Instructions:

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. Large hail and damaging winds and continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms. Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature's leading killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning.
