Cesar Pacheco was arrested for possession of burglary tools and violation of his probation

INCIDENT: Possession of Burglary Tools
LOCATION: Bryant Street & Yucaipa Boulevard, Yucaipa
SUSPECT(S): Cesar Pacheco, age 21 a resident of Colton
SUMMARY: On Monday, June 7, 2021, at approximately 11:48 pm, Deputy William Ziemer saw a 2001 Honda Accord drive south on Bryant Street near Yucaipa Boulevard. The Honda’s registration was expired. Ziemer stopped the Honda and contacted the driver, Cesar Pacheco. Pacheco was wearing a black work glove on one hand.
Pacheco was found to be on felony probation for theft and had a suspended driver’s license. Work gloves, a cordless hacksaw, a cordless grinder, a hydraulic floor jack, and suspected methamphetamine were found in the Honda. These tools are commonly used to steal catalytic converters.
Pacheco was arrested for possession of burglary tools and violation of his probation. Pacheco was booked into the Central Detention Center.
During the investigation it was learned that on Monday, January 25th, 2021, Pacheco was arrested by San Bernardino County School Police as he attempted to steal a catalytic converter from a school vehicle.
