Power has been restored.

The power in Gilroy has been restored. It is believed the outage was caused by a power line getting struck at the south end of Gilroy. There were no reported injuries.

There is currently a power outage affecting a large portion of Gilroy. Traffic signal lights are out throughout portions of the city. Our emergency communications center is also impacted. Please refrain from calling the Gilroy Police Department unless it is an emergency until power is fully restored. We will update this message when we obtain further information.
