10:27 PM: Officer Herrera responded to a report of an unwanted guest in the 7000 block of Thornton Ave. Upon arrival, Officer Herrera made contact and arrested 28-year old male for being under the influence of a controlled substance. He was booked at Santa Rita Jail.
 
Monday, May 17, 2021
7:03 PM: Officer Riddles and Officer Herrera made contact with a 21-year old male in the area of Thornton Ave and Peachtree Ave. Officer Riddles noticed the vehicle was displaying the wrong license plate. Officers also discovered and seized identification information that did not belong to the subject. Officers ultimately cited and released the subject for displaying false registration and theft/appropriation of lost property.

3:28 AM: Officer Kapu responded to a report of a theft in the 38000 block of Cherry St. The reporting party indicated the subject was being held as a Citizen’s Arrest. Officer Kapu arrived on scene and accepted the Citizen’s Arrest of a 20-year old male out of Hayward for theft of personal property and an outstanding warrant. He was booked at Santa Rita Jail.

11:21 AM: Officer Damewood made contact and arrested a 34-year old male in the 5000 block of Thornton Ave for an outstanding warrant. He was booked at Fremont Jail.
3:53 PM: Officer Damewood responded to investigate a report of a strong-arm robbery that had just occurred in the 39000 block of Cedar Blvd. Loss was a purse. Officers are investigating.
7:50 PM: Officer Slavazza and Officer Soto responded to a report of shoplifting in the 200 block of Newpark Mall Rd. Upon arrival officers made contact with a 54-year old female out of Emeryville. The subject provided false information. Officers were eventually able to identify the subject and a records check indicated an outstanding warrant. Officers ultimately accepted a Citizen’s Arrest and arrested the subject for theft of personal property, false identification to a police officer and an outstanding warrant. She was booked at Santa Rita Jail.

4:22 AM: Officer Slavazza and Office Soto investigated a report of a suspicious circumstance in the 6000 block of Jarvis. Ultimately officers determined the suspicious circumstance was an attempted fraud by deception. Case is still being investigated.
8:06 PM: During a traffic enforcement stop, Officer Slavazza and Officer Soto made contact with a 53-year old male out of Stockton in the area of Thornton Ave and Sycamore St. The vehicle was ultimately impounded due to the driver having a suspended license and the vehicle registration being 6-months or more overdue. Prior to turning the vehicle over to the tow company, an inventory check was conducted, at which point officers discovered drug paraphernalia, controlled substances, and a firearm. The subject was ultimately arrested for being a felon in possession of a firearm, driving with a suspended license for DUI, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance and multiple outstanding warrants. He was booked at Santa Rita Jail.
10:12 PM: Officers responded to a report of an unwanted person in the 35000 block of Dumbarton Ct. Upon arrival Officer Riddles and Officer Swadener made contact and arrested a 41-year old female for an outstanding warrant. She was booked at Santa Rita Jail. Officers also made contact and arrested a 31-year old male for an outstanding warrant. He was cited and released.

12:04 AM: Officers responded to a report of reckless driving described as “burnouts” in the area of Cherry St and Clark Ave. Officer Swadener quickly responded and arrived just in time to on-view the driver, driving recklessly. Officer Swadener ultimately arrested a 25-year old male out of Newark for reckless driving. He was cited and released. The vehicle was towed with a 30-day impound.
2:28 AM: Officer Slavazza and Officer Soto made contact with a 33-year old male out of Newark in the area of Larkspur St and Daphne Ct. Officer ultimately arrested the subject for an outstanding warrant. He was booked at Fremont Jail.
6:43 PM: Officers responded to investigate a theft that had just occurred in the 5000 block of Thornton Ave. Officers made contact with a 28-year old male subject nearby. The reporting party desired prosecution. Officers ultimately arrested the subject for theft of personal property. He was booked at Santa Rita Jail
7:05 PM: Officers made contact and arrested a 47-year old male in the 5000 block of Thornton Ave for an outstanding warrant. He was booked at Santa Rita Jail.

11:14 AM: Officer Losier made contact and arrested a 22-year old female in the area of Newark Blvd and HWY 84 for multiple outstanding warrants. She was booked at Santa Rita Jail.
9:43 PM: Officers responded to a collision in the area of Cedar Blvd and Central Ave. Upon arrival, officers made contact with a 57-year old male out of Newark and arrested him for DUI. He was booked at Santa Rita Jail.

7:43 AM: Officer McCuin responded to investigate a cold burglary to a vehicle in the 6000 block of Joaquin Murieta Avenue that occurred overnight.  Loss was registration paperwork
3:18 PM: Community Service Officer Lau took a package theft report in the 6000 block of Jarvis Ave. Theft occurred sometime on 5/24/2021. 
3:26 PM: Officer Damewood investigated a theft of a generator at a construction site in the 5000 block of John Muir Drive that occurred sometime overnight.  Loss is a Generator valued at $9700.00.
8:30 PM: Officer Slavazza and Officer Riddles conducted a traffic enforcement stop in the area of Cedar Blvd and Birch St. Officers made contact and arrested a 66-year old male out of Oakland an outstanding warrant. He was booked at Fremont Jail.
11:53 PM: Officers were dispatched to a report of a solo vehicle collision into a tree in the area of Cedar Blvd and Dupont Ave. Officers made contact and arrested a 26-year old male out of Fremont for DUI. He was booked at Fremont Jail.
 
Friday, May 28, 2021
2:11 AM: Officers were dispatched to a report of a vehicle stopped in the area of Newark Blvd and Jarvis Ave with an unresponsive driver. Upon arrival, officers attempted to make contact with a 29-year old female out of Concord who was incoherent. Once aware of the officers’ presence, the subject then resisted getting out of the vehicle kicking officers in the process. After a brief struggle, the subject was successfully detained and ultimately arrested for DUI, obstructing a police officer and battery on a peace officer. She was booked at Fremont Jail.  
7:37 AM:  Officer Damewood was dispatched a report of a suspicious vehicle in the 6000 block of Joaquin Murieta Ave. Officer Damewood arrived to find a male driver in heavy sleep. Officer Damewood made contact a 31-year old male and ultimately arrested the subject for unlawful possession of tear gas, identity theft materials possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was booked at Fremont Jail.
10:49 AM: Officer Johnson and Officer Quinonez were initially dispatched to a report of parking issues in the 36000 block of Ruchin Dr. While investigating the parking concerns, officers made contact with a 39-year old male out of Newark and ultimately arrested the subject for an outstanding warrant. He was booked at Santa Rita Jail.
11:35 PM: Officer McCuin made contact with a 51-year old male out of Las Vegas in the 5000 block of Jarvis Ave. The subject was ultimately arrested for an outstanding warrant. He was booked at Fremont Jail.
5:09 PM: Officers responded to a report of disturbance in the 7000 block of Thornton Ave. Upon arrival, officers made contact and arrested a 43-year old male for outstanding warrants. He was cited and released.

1:32 AM: Officer Slavazza and Officer Soto responded to a solo vehicle collision on Cedar Boulevard. Officer Soto made contact and arrested a 25-year old male out of Newark for DUI.
1:28 PM: Officer Karrick made contact with a 62-year old male out of Newark in the area of Cedar Blvd and Newark Blvd for an outstanding warrant. He was booked at Santa Rita Jail.
3:39 PM: Officer Warren made contact and arrested a 45-year old male out of Fremont in the area of Cedar Blvd and Morres Ave for possession of controlled substance for sale and an outstanding warrant. He was booked at Santa Rita Jail.
9:23 PM: Officers responded to a vehicle collision in the area of Newark Blvd and HWY 84. Officer Soto made contact and arrested a 27-year old male out of Hayward for DUI. He was booked at Fremont Jail.

1:27 AM: While investigated a report of a suspicious person looking into vehicles, Officer Riddles made contact and arrested a 24-year old male for multiple outstanding warrants including driving a stolen vehicle. He was booked at Fremont Jail.
8:45 AM:  Officer Karrick made contact and arrested a 31-year old male out of Newark in the 35000 block of Dumbarton Ct for possession of a controlled substance. He was cited and released.
