Owensville woman arrested for drugs and driving while suspended. 
On June 8, 2021, at 10:04 p.m. Deputy Zach Lienemann conducted a traffic stop on a Silver 2004 Ford Explorer on State Road 168 and US 41. Upon approaching the vehicle Deputy Lienemann identified the driver as 33-year-old Samantha Wathen of Owensville. During a roadside investigation Deputy Lienemann ran Ms. Wathen through the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles and discovered that her Indiana Operator’s License was suspended on a prior Driving While Suspended conviction. At that point Deputy Lienemann placed Ms. Wathen into custody and transported her to the Gibson County Jail. Upon arriving at the Jail a female officer conducted a search of Ms. Wathen during the booking process and found Methamphetamines. Ms. Wathen was charged with Driving While Suspended Prior and Possession of a Methamphetamines. She remains in custody on a $750 bond.
