One Injured In Crash
Sheriff Richard J. Behnke, reports that on 06/11/2021 at approximately 2238 hours, his office was called to investigate a personal injury crash near the intersection of US 12 and Mason St, Porter Township, Cass County Michigan.
Investigation shows that 58-year-old, Union resident, Scott Hunt was attempting to turn into a private driveway when he struck a motorcycle that was traveling west bound US-12. The Motorcycle was driven by a 33yr old South Bend Resident, Nathanael Haines. Haines suffered unknown injuries and was transported to Elkhart General Hospital by SEPSA EMS.
A helmet was worn by the driver of the Motorcycle. Alcohol appears to be a factor however the Incident still remains under investigation. Assisting in this crash was SEPSA Fire and EMS and the Michigan State Police.
