On Thursday, June 10, 2021, at approximately 8:51PM, Sausalito Police Officers were dispatched to the 700 block of Bridgeway on the report of a person acting suspiciously around a parked vehicle, possibly burglarizing it.  This suspicious person was also reported to have been seen near a private portion of a nearby restaurant that he did not have permission to be in.  As Officers were responding to the call, the reporting party stated that the subject was driving from the area in a black Dodge with one inoperative headlight.

Officer Honour Knudsen who was on patrol in the area when the call came out arrived on scene approximately a minute later and observed the Dodge with the inoperative headlight driving southbound on Bridgeway.  A traffic stop was affected and the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, Anthony NAVA (38 year old resident of Vallejo) was contacted without incident.
 
A records check on NAVA revealed that he was a convicted felon on active parole in California.  Further investigation, revealed that NAVA was carrying a concealed loaded 40 caliber Glock 23 handgun and a stun gun upon his person.  A search of NAVA’s vehicle and belongings determined that he was in possession of a second stun gun, an electronic cattle prod, suspected cocaine, suspect methamphetamine, and narcotic paraphernalia. 
 
Officers did not find any evidence that NAVA had committed an automobile burglary or had accessed the restricted portion of the restaurant.  NAVA claimed he was in the area to visit a friend.

NAVA was arrested for being a felon in possession of a firearm, possession of a loaded firearm, illegal possession of a stun gun, possession of narcotics, and possession of narcotics paraphernalia and was booked into the Marin County Jail.
