The National Weather Service in Pleasant Hill has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for... North central Cass County in west central Missouri... Southeastern Clay County in west central Missouri... Southwestern Ray County in west central Missouri... Southwestern Lafayette County in west central Missouri... Jackson County in west central Missouri...

* Until 415 PM CDT.

* At 337 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Crystal Lakes to near Sibley to near Sugar Creek, moving south at 50 mph. HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

* Severe thunderstorms will be near... Independence, Lee's Summit, Raytown, Buckner, Lake Tapawingo and Levasy around 345 PM CDT. Blue Springs around 350 PM CDT. Grain Valley, Lake Lotawana and Henrietta around 355 PM CDT. Other locations in the path of these severe thunderstorms include Raymore, Greenwood, Lake Winnebago, Wellington, Pleasant Hill, Lone Jack and Odessa. This includes the following highways... Interstate 70 in Missouri between mile markers 8 and 36. Interstate 470 between mile markers 0 and 16. Interstate 435 near mile marker 62, and between mile markers 64 and 73.
