The National Weather Service in Springfield has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for... Eastern Greene County in southwestern Missouri... Western Webster County in southwestern Missouri...

* Until 200 AM CDT Saturday.

* At 755 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Eastern Springfield, Marshfield, Strafford, Rogersville, Fair Grove, Fordland, Diggins and Northview. This includes the following low water crossings... Highway 125 just south of Highway 60, Route C at The Little Sac River north of Strafford, Route CC west of Fair Grove at The Pomme De Terre River, Greenwood Road at The Pomme de Terre Headwaters and Route A just south of Marshfield. This includes the following streams and drainages... James River, Finley Creek, Stewart Creek, Farmer Branch, Terell Branch, Pierson Creek, Dry Fork, Dry Creek, North Dry Sac River, Grier Branch, Sims Branch, Sawyer Creek, Turnbo Creek, Little Sac River, Ragsdale Creek, Pomme de Terre River, Little Pomme de Terre River, Davis Branch, Martins Branch, Beaver Creek, Broad Creek, Lacey Branch, Givins Branch, Panther Creek, Turner Creek, Niangua River, Little Finley Creek, West Fork Niangua River, Selph Branch, East Fork Niangua River, South Fork Pomme de Terre River, North Fork Pomme de Terre River, South Dry Sac River, North Carolina Creek, Davis Creek, Osage Fork Gasconade River, Pedelo Creek and Norman Branch.
