Hit and Run Crash 
Sheriff Richard J. Behnke, reports that on 06/12/2021 at approximately 1530 hours, his office was called to investigate a personal injury crash on Lake Shore Drive and Barron Lake Road, Howard Township, Cass County Michigan.
Investigation shows that 78-year-old, Howard Township resident, Mary Laubach was attempting to turn into a private driveway when Laubach’s grey Kia Soul was struck by a blue and gray Ford Escape. The driver of the Ford Escape continued west bound on Lake Shore Drive. Laubach was transported to Spectrum Health Niles by Edwardsburg Ambulance with minor injuries.
At this time it is unknown who was driving the Ford Escape and where the vehicle fled.
Seat belt was worn by Laubach and It is unknown if alcohol or drugs were factors in the crash.
