Recycle and Yard Debris Drop off
Beginning Monday, June 14, Collingswood residents may take recycling and yard debris to the Comly Ave plant for disposal Monday to Friday from 7am-3pm rather than wait for pickup. To get to the Comly Ave plant, take Collings Ave to Comly Ave and turn toward Newton Lake (away from Rte 130). You will come to a gated area at the end of the Comly Ave. Enter the gated area and follow signage for dropoff loop.
It is critical that recycling rules be followed. NO PLASTIC BAGS of any kind should be in yard waste or recycling, either bagging the material or in the material. Materials bagged in plastic are rejected at the recycling plant. Acceptable recycling includes: Rinsed plastic or glass bottles, jars and jugs, rinsed aluminum and steel cans, clean paper, and clean cardboard. If you are unsure if a piece is recyclable, remember this, "When in doubt, throw it out." No plastic bags of any kind should be in or around your recycling.
No illegal dumping, trash or construction materials will be collected at this site. Only approved recycling and yard waste (dumped from cans or in paper bags only) will be accepted at drop off. Drop off is for Collingswood residents ONLY. The drop off site will be monitored.
