MN Dept of Agriculture low flying aircraft tomorrow (6/15/21; 5a-10a)
On Tuesday, June 15, the Minnesota Department of Agriculture (MDA) will be conducting a low-flying aerial aviation project over the City of Duluth and the City of Cloquet, MN. Aircraft will fly approximately 50 feet above the treetops. These low-flying operations historically have resulted in citizen calls to 911. We hope the below information will be helpful to you.
Project: MDA aerial treatments to slow the spread of Gypsy Moth, an invasive insect pest.
Area to be Treated: Two blocks: 1) New Duluth, City of Duluth -641 acres 2)SAPPI Mill Site, City of Cloquet-403 acres
The time frame of applications: Tuesday, June 15, from 5 AM-10 AM. The second round of applications will be scheduled 4-10 days following the first application.
