Search & Rescue teams located lost hiker, Peggy Faulk, after a two day search in the San Gorgonio Mountain Region

VICTIM: Peggy Faulk, 64-year-old resident of Irvine
SUMMARY:
On Sunday, June 13, 2021, Peggy Faulk and another hiker set out destined to the Mt. San Gorgonio Peak. During the hikers’ assent they became separated from one another. Peggy was overdue returning to her vehicle and the circumstances were reported to law enforcement. The San Bernardino County San Gorgonio Search and Rescue Team was activated, and an immediate search of the area was conducted. Initial searches did not locate Peggy and a regional aid operation was initiated. As the San Gorgonio Search and Rescue Team was actively searching, additional San Bernardino County Search and Rescue teams were deployed. Search and Rescue teams from Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, and San Diego counties were also summoned and worked collaboratively, searching the wilderness for Peggy.
The utilization of over 100 search and rescue men and women, including aerial surveillance, resulted in locating Peggy on Tuesday, June 15th in the San Gorgonio Mountain Region.
