West Covina Police Attempting to Identify Homicide Suspects in 2019 Murder.

DATE OF RELEASE: Tuesday, June 15, 2021
 
On November 3, 2019 at approximately 12:50 am 26 year old Jaime Fernandez, resident of El Monte, was gunned down while driving his car on the 300 block of South Glendora Avenue in the City of West Covina. Witnesses described the suspect’s vehicle as a black 4 door sedan, occupied by more than one person. Witnesses described one suspect as a male Hispanic, mid 30’s, with a manicured or trimmed beard. Witnesses also said during the confrontation one of the suspect’s displayed a hand gang sign believed to be associated with the Puente 13 Blackwood Street gang. Investigators believe the suspect’s may be members and/or associates of the Puente 13 Blackwood Street gang.
 
Detectives are releasing video of the suspect vehicle that was recorded the night of the incident (see attached).  Detectives hope releasing the video of the suspect vehicle will provide more leads in the investigation and ask anyone with information to contact the West Covina Police Department at (626)939-8557.
