Mask or no mask? That is the question. The answer: Be kind & follow each businesses’ policy!
We have received numerous calls from residents asking what the current “law” regarding masks is since the state “re-opened” earlier this week.
While several businesses have removed their masks policy, some businesses are making mask wearing optional, others are making masks optional for those that are vaccinated and other businesses are still requiring a mask.
Whether you agree with the mask/no mask policy, Lancaster Sheriff's Station would like to remind our residents that each private business can require any policy. Similar to the No Shirt, No Shoes, No Service, masks can be required at privately owned businesses.
Most importantly we remind our residents to be kind to employees. Employees are following directives set by their corporate office, and being unkind to an employee is not appropriate. You are welcome to take your hard earned money elsewhere if you don’t like a business’ policy.
And while who is right or wrong about mask wearing can be debated forever, you can’t ever go wrong with being kind!
Lancaster Sheriff’s Station polices the City of Lancaster, Antelope Valley College in Lancaster, and the unincorporated communities of Antelope Acres, Lake Los Angeles, and Quartz Hill in the Antelope Valley.
