Deputies and Specialized Enforcement Division responded to a man with a gun and arrested Gilberto Rios of Needles 
DATE/TIME: Wednesday, June 16, 2021 9:32 p.m.
INCIDENT: Assault with a deadly weapon
LOCATION: 1900 block Erin Drive in Needles
SUSPECT: Gilberto Rios, 25-year-old resident of Needles
VICTIM(S): Confidential
SUMMARY:
On Wednesday, June 16, 2021, at 9:32 p.m., Deputies from the Colorado River Sheriff’s station / Needles Police were dispatched to an apartment complex in the 1900 block of Erin Drive for a report of a man with a gun. Deputies arrived on scene and learned Gilberto Rios had pointed a firearm at the victims and threatened them. The suspect then went back into his apartment.
The Specialized Enforcement Division (SWAT) responded to assist and Rios was taking into custody without incident. Rios was booked at the High Desert Detention Center for assault with a deadly weapon and is being held on $2000,000 bail.
