Holly Morris of Running Springs was arrested for kidnapping, burglary and negligent discharge of a firearm

DATE/TIME: June 18, 2021, 12:38 a.m.
 
INCIDENT: Kidnapping, Burglary, Willful discharge/Firearm in a gross negligent manner.
 
LOCATION: 31000 block Christmas Tree Lane, Running Springs CA 92314
 
SUSPECT: Holly Lenore Morris, 46 year old resident of Running Springs
 
VICTIM(S): Confidential
 
 
SUMMARY:
On Friday, June 18, 2021, at approximately 12:38 a.m., deputies from the Twin Peaks Sheriff's Station responded to shots heard in the area of West Victoria Court in the Lake Arrowhead Villas. The original caller stated an unknown female broke into her residence holding a silver handgun. The caller was able to escape and notify authorities.
 
While deputies were on scene, they received additional information stating a female broke into another residence near the original incident location. Deputies simultaneously heard yelling and banging at a house. Deputies observed the side door had been kicked in. While performing a security sweep of the exterior of the residence, the unknown suspect fired the handgun. Deputies located the suspect holding a silver, Smith and Wesson .357 Magnum in her right hand. Deputies took her into custody without incident. The suspect was identified as Holly Morris, 46-year-old resident of Running Springs.
 
Preliminary statements made by the victims' included but were not limited to, Morris breaking into residence's and holding the firearm to one of the victims' head. Prior to booking Morris into a jail facility, she was taken to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) for a pre jail assement. During the course of her treatment, Morris attempted to escape from deputies and was quickly apprehended.
 
Morris was arrested for violation of Penal Code Sections 207(a), Kidnapping, Penal Code 459, residential burlary, and Penal Code 246.3(a), willful discharge/firearm in a gross negligent manner.
