Severe Thunderstorm Warning until 09:00PM Sunday

The National Weather Service in Sterling Virginia has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for... East central Allegany County in western Maryland... West central Morgan County in the Panhandle of West Virginia... Northeastern Hampshire County in eastern West Virginia...

* Until 900 PM EDT.

* At 810 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 9 miles northeast of Romney, moving northeast at 20 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Law enforcement reported tree damage due to this storm in Mineral County. IMPACT...Damaging winds will cause some trees and large branches to fall. This could injure those outdoors, as well as damage homes and vehicles. Roadways may become blocked by downed trees. Localized power outages are possible. Unsecured light objects may become projectiles.

* Locations impacted include... Paw Paw, Green Spring, Oldtown, Points, Three Churches, Largent, Levels, Higginsville, Magnolia, Slanesville and Bloomery.

* AFFECTED AREAS: ALLEGANY, MD ... HAMPSHIRE, WV ... MORGAN, WV

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
