LOCATION: 34144 Yucaipa Blvd., City of Yucaipa
SUSPECT(S): Christopher Krocker, age 37, a resident of Yucaipa
VICTIM(S): City of Yucaipa
SUMMARY: An unknown male drove west on Yucaipa Boulevard and entered the parking lot in front of the Yucaipa Police Station. The suspect exited the vehicle, approached the front of the station, and threw a cinder block through the front glass window to the station’s lobby. The suspect reentered the vehicle and drove east directly in front of City Hall and the transit center.
A witness was in walking in the area and heard the window being smashed. The witness watched as the suspect fled in the vehicle. The witness was able to provide limited suspect and vehicle descriptions.
Initial information gathered from video surveillance shows the vehicle traveled west on Yucaipa Boulevard from east of 4th Street to the Police Station. The vehicle was last seen driving east on Yucaipa Boulevard, east of 4th Street.
Deputies followed up on leads and saturated the area in an attempt to locate the suspect and vehicle. Deputies found the car in the 34000 block of Yucaipa Blvd. and saw Christopher Krocker nearby. Krocker appeared to match the physical appearance of the suspect on video.
Deputies arrested Krocker for vandalism and transported him to jail without incident.
