Crime Blotter for the Week of June 13-19, 2021

The following is a synopsis of crimes reported for the week of June 13, 2021– June 19, 2021:        

June 13, 2021

  • No significant activity.
June 14, 2021

June 15, 2021
  • Grand Theft (Golf Cart):
A victim reported a theft near the 2800 Block of Royal Oaks Drive. Unknown suspects stole the victim’s golf cart between June 14, 2021, 10 PM and June 15, 2021, 7 PM, from the location. Deputies did not locate any surveillance video. The estimated loss was $5000.
  • Assault with a Deadly Weapon:
A victim reported an assault with a deadly weapon on the 2000 Block of Huntington Drive. The victim stated on June 15, 2021, at 3:20 PM, her adult son came to the home to take a shower and eat. The victim told the suspect when she left the house to run errands, the suspect would also have to leave the location. The suspect became upset with the victim, telling him he would have to leave, and broke a glass vase in his hand. The suspect then grabbed a pair of scissors and lunged at the victim in a stabbing motion. The victim avoided injury and ran from the home pending the Deputies arrival. Responding Deputies arrested the suspect without incident. Temple Station Detectives are investigating the case.
 
June 16, 2021
  • Robbery (Shoplifting):
An informant reported a theft at 1600 Mountain Avenue (Walmart). Loss prevention saw a male adult on June 16, 2021 at 10 PM, placing unpaid store merchandise inside a blue wagon. The suspect was seen exiting the store through an emergency exit. The suspect was detained by loss prevention security outside the store. During the detention, the suspect pushed the employee and reached into his pocket. The employee believing the suspect was retrieving a weapon, went inside the store pending the Deputies arrival. Surveillance video captured the incident.The estimated loss was $200.
  • Aggravated Assault (Spousal)
A victim reported a domestic violence incident near the 1400 block of Three Ranch Road.The victim reported being assaulted by her long-term boyfriend. The suspect was arrested at the location without incident.
  • Assault with a Deadly Weapon:
A victim reported an assault with a deadly weapon on the 1300 Block of Huntington Drive. The victim stated on June 16, 2021 at 3:20 PM, he was asleep when an unknown female adult started yelling at him. The suspect then kicked at the victim and hit him with a metal cane several times. The victim received several minor abrasions and swelling to his left elbow. The suspect gave investigating Deputies conflicting to conflict. Based on the victim statements and a witness, the suspect was arrested for the indicated charge. Temple Station Detectives are investigating the case.

June 17, 2021
  • Grand Theft (Truck Tailgate):
A victim reported a theft near the 2500 Block of Millbrae Avenue. Unknown suspects stole the tailgate from the victim’s Dodge Truck. The theft occurred in May 2021. The estimated loss was $1,500.
  • Assault with a Deadly Weapon:
A victim reported an assault with a deadly weapon on the 2500 Block of Millbrae Avenue. The victim stated on June 16, 2021 at 10:50 PM, he was sitting in his vehicle when a blue suburban drove up to the driver side of his vehicle and asked him where he was from, the victim responded he was from “Eastside Duarte.” The suspect driving the suburban without saying anything threw a glass bottle at the victim’s car window shattering it. The suspect vehicle drove eastbound Millbrae and out of view without further incident. Deputies did not locate any surveillance video.
 
June 18, 2021
  • Aggravated Assault (Spousal)
A victim reported a domestic violence incident near the 1400 block of Huntington Drive. The victim reported being assaulted by her long-term boyfriend. Temple Station Detectives are investigating the case.
  • Grand Theft (Catalytic Converter):
A victim reported their vehicle catalytic converter stolen near the 1600 Block of Third Street. The theft occurred between June 15, 2021, between 4:20 AM and 4:40 AM. Suspects stole the catalytic converter from the victim’s 2004 Honda CR-V. Deputies did not locate any surveillance video. The estimated loss was $2,500.
