Cleanup efforts will continue on Village streets with a focus on hard hit neighborhoods between 79th and 87th Streets.  All roadways are now open since ComEd worked overnight replacing broken power poles and restoring power to all Burr Ridge homes.
 
Public Works and its contractors will continue to clear tree limbs and branches placed along roadsides.  Our crews will spread out to other areas of the Village after serving the hardest hit areas first.  As a reminder, please bring broken tree limbs from your yard to the roadside by Thursday (June 24) evening for pickup. 
 
The Village is asking for the residents’ cooperation as follows:

• Tree limbs and trunks must be brought to the edge of their street. 
• Please bundle or bag small branches for your Thursday waste pickup to save our crews’ time and effort.  
• Please help your neighbors whenever possible to remove limbs and branches from their yards, as Village crews can only collect from the streets and parkways. 
• Building materials or other waste and debris created by the storm must be placed in garbage bins or arranged directly for pickup by Groot Industries.

Large tree clearing equipment will make one final pass through streets on Friday.

Beware of Scams:
 
Residents are encouraged to beware of potential scams.  Please be cautious about giving information or signing contracts with companies that call or stop by uninvited.  Contact your insurance company directly if you need assistance and restoration at your home.
