The 4th of July celebration comes once a year, but fireworks can be heard months before, and even months after.
The Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station would like to advise you, whether it’s the 4th of July, or any other day, fireworks in the Santa Clarita Valley are illegal. If it explodes, rises in the air, moves about the ground, it is a firework, even if it’s labeled “Safe and Sane.”
“So where can I see fireworks?” is what you may be wondering. The City of Santa Clarita will be offering its free “Spirit of America” fireworks show, but in the meantime, if you know of illegal firework activity taking place contact the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station at 661-255-1121.
Avoid citation, and possible arrest, because if you light it, we WILL cite it.
