Residents are reminded the Port Vue Police Department will be checking vehicles throughout the Borough parked on roadways, alleys and private property for vehicles that are junked, without valid registration plates & expired inspection stickers.  Borough Ordinance 227-12 & 227-13 permit the authorities to place an orange tag towing notice on the vehicle giving the vehicle owner 48 hours to remove the vehicle from the location OR bring the vehicle into proper code with valid inspection stickers AND valid registration plate visible on the vehicle.  Please make sure all vehicles registered in your name that are parked on your property or Borough roadways are current with registration & inspection.  This is an effort to clean up Port Vue by removing the un-sightly junk vehicles that populate the Borough.  Thank you for your cooperation and efforts to keep Port Vue a nice place to live and a clean place to live.
