As we approach the 4th of July, the Tehachapi Police Department would like to remind residents that ALL fireworks, including “Safe & Sane”, are illegal in the City of Tehachapi.
All violations will be strictly enforced and result in a fine of $1,000 for each violation.
We encourage residents to report the use of fireworks within city limits to our Police Communications Center at 661-822-2222.
