From Burr Ridge Public Works: Free Storm Cleanup Available to Businesses and Residents

Free Storm Cleanup Available to Burr Ridge Businesses and Residents

Cleanup efforts continue in the hardest hit neighborhoods between 79th and 87th Streets, and have now spread out to other areas of the Village. Crews have cleared most of the tree debris piles that were brought to the roadsides and will continue through Friday 6/25.

Private cleanup services are now available free of charge to Burr Ridge residents and businesses until July 2nd through a partnership with an organization called Team Rubicon. Team Rubicon is a veteran-led disaster response organization, and its volunteers are out in our community now to serve you. They are wearing gray shirts with red lettering that clearly identifies Team Rubicon. All volunteers are bonded and insured to ensure that work is done safely and properly. Please contact them directly at the number below for this free assistance to remove damaged trees and property from your yard.

(213) 712-4066

This organization was brought in by the Village through the DuPage County Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management (OHSEM). Our Village officials and Hinsdale District 86 quickly collaborated to shelter Team Rubicon and its 30+ volunteers at Hinsdale South.

Lastly, the National Weather Service is forecasting heavy rainfall tonight, Friday, and into this weekend, which is likely to result in localized flooding. While our crews are busy with brush collection, please help by keeping storm grates clear of leaves and twigs.
