Arrest by Ontario/Upland PD Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce
Ontario, CA – The Ontario Police Department has arrested a subject believed to be involved with possessing and distributing files with Child Sexual Assault Material (CSAM).
On June 20th, 2021, members of the Ontario / Upland Police Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Taskforce served a search warrant in the 1600 block of N. Hacienda Drive. The initial investigation conducted by ICAC Taskforce members, uncovered leads that were used to obtain a search warrant for the residence of Steven David Gendron, a 34-year-old male. The search resulted in finding a computer tower and several USB thumb drives containing over 600 videos of suspected Child Sexual Assault Material.
The suspect, Gendron, was arrested at his residence and booked at West Valley Detention Center for multiple felonies including: Possession of CSAM, Possession of over 600 CSAM Images, and Distribution of CSAM.
