Arson Arrest – First Avenue and Foothill Boulevard. 
At 2:09PM, numerous calls were received in dispatch of a fire that had just been started in the wash area, south of Foothill Boulevard and east of First Avenue. A description was given of a male seen in the area where the fire started, and officers located and detained the person described in the wash area. After an initial investigation with an AFD Arson Investigator, evidence located and statements made to our personnel, a transient was arrested for PC 451(c), Arson of Forest Land. The arrested person was transported to APD and released into the jail for booking purposes.
