Flood Watch until 07:00AM Saturday

The National Weather Service in Wichita has issued a

* Flood Watch for Portions of Central, South Central, and Southeast Kansas, including the following areas, in Central Kansas, Chase and Marion. In South Central Kansas, Butler, Cowley, Harper, Harvey, Kingman, Sedgwick and Sumner. In Southeast Kansas, Allen, Chautauqua, Elk, Greenwood, Labette, Montgomery, Neosho, Wilson and Woodson.

* Through Saturday morning.

* A couple rounds of thunderstorms with very heavy rainfall are expected this afternoon through tonight across portions of central, south-central, and southeast Kansas. This may lead to localized flooding and flash flooding of city streets, country roads, farmland, and various low water crossings and flood-prone areas.

* AFFECTED AREAS: MARION ... CHASE ... HARVEY ... BUTLER ... GREENWOOD ... WOODSON ... ALLEN ... KINGMAN ... SEDGWICK ... HARPER ... SUMNER ... COWLEY ... ELK ... WILSON ... NEOSHO ... CHAUTAUQUA ... MONTGOMERY ... LABETTE
