Southern Marion County in central Kansas...
Central Chase County in east central Kansas...
* Until 1000 PM CDT.
* At 407 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in
the warned area. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. The
greatest rainfall so far has occurred between Marion and Peabody.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Peabody, Cottonwood Falls, Strong City, Florence, Goessel, Bazaar,
Elmdale, Cedar Point, Tallgrass Prairie Preserve, Tallgrass
Prairie, Marion Lake and Saffordville.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Do not drive into flooded areas or go around barricades. Nearly two
feet of water will carry most vehicles away. Turn around, don't
drown.
Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route
