FLOOD ALERT Widespread flooding has been reported in the city and throughout the Metro-Detroit area.
AVOID DRIVING through flooded streets
If experiencing basement flooding make sure that there are no electric wires that are under the water level. Also, make sure that you are extra careful with electric devices in wet basements. Only use double insulated and grounded vacums and dehumidifiers. If you are in doubt about the electrical safety of your basement, stay out of it! As rainfall ends water in basements will recede.
Use caution outside as well. Several vehicles have been abandoned / stalled out causing roadway hazards along with large debris.
