Flood Warning until 12:00PM

The National Weather Service in Detroit/Pontiac has issued a

* Flood Warning for... Washtenaw County in southeastern Michigan... Wayne County in southeastern Michigan...

* Until noon EDT Saturday.

* At 554 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated that 3 to 6 inches of rain fell overnight with the heaviest amounts extending from Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti northeast along and north of Michigan Avenue into Detroit. While the risk of flash flooding has subsided, flooding persists across the area this morning including the branches of the Rouge River. While additional heavy rain will initially focus mainly to the northwest of the area today, runoff from the overnight heavy rainfall morning will be slow to occur.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include... Ann Arbor, Livonia, Taylor, Romulus, Ypsilanti, Flat Rock, Saline, Milan, Grosse Pointe, Chelsea, Dexter, Manchester, Canton, Downtown Detroit, Detroit, Dearborn, Wyandotte, Trenton, Grosse Ile and Northville. This Flood Warning replaces the Flash Flood Warning issued during the early morning hours.

* AFFECTED AREAS: WASHTENAW, MI ... WAYNE, MI

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
