* At 426 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 11 miles southeast of Logan, or 24 miles south of Nara Visa, moving southeast at 20 mph. HAZARD...Ping pong ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
* Locations impacted include... Glenrio. This includes Interstate 40 between Mile Markers 364 and 373.
* AFFECTED AREAS: QUAY, NM
Instructions:
Move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. Prepare immediately for large hail and damaging winds. People outside should move to shelter inside a strong building. Stay away from windows. Blowing dust associated with strong thunderstorm winds can reduce visibilities below one quarter mile at times.
