City of Wayne Flood Impacted Bulk Item Disposal Options

Flood Impacted Bulk Item Disposal Options

For items that were damaged during the recent flooding,
here are the methods and how to dispose of those items :

1. Curbside: (STARTS THIS WEEK)
If your trash day is on a Monday, your bulk from the flood will be picked up on Tuesday.  If your trash day is Tuesday, your bulk items from the flood will be picked up on Wednesday.  If your trash day is on Wednesday, your bulk items from the flood will be picked up on Thursday.  If your trash day is Thursday, your bulk items will be picked up on Friday.  And, Friday’s bulk day will be picked up on Saturday.

Please know that the City of Wayne Department of Public Works will be responsible for picking up the large bulk curbside items from the flood. Due to the large amount of expected items, this process could take up to 2-3 weeks. If you have a large amount of bulk from the flood, we kindly ask that you place only half or a portion of these items out this week, and the other portion next week. You will not be penalized for storing storm damage refuse outside of your home until it can be disposed of by the Department of Public Works.

2. 20 Yard Dumpsters:
Three 20 yard dumpsters will be placed at the Walz-Avondale Park located at Forest and Hubbard starting as early as Tuesday morning as an option as well.

You can either use curbside or the dumpsters located at Walz-Avondale for items that have been damaged as a result of the storm.

If you have any questions, please contact the City of Wayne Department of Public Works at 734-721-8600. Thank you!
