Following a traffic stop of a stolen vehicle, 2 suspects were arrested, one was found in possession of a firearm

INCIDENT: P.C. 496D(A)- Possession of a Stolen Vehicle, P.C. 25850(C)(2)- Possession of a Stolen Firearm
LOCATION: Tippecanoe Avenue / Pacific Street
SUSPECT(S): Ryan Smith, 35-year-old male, San Bernardino and Kristina Mical, 31-year-old-female, Yucaipa, CA
SUMMARY: On Sunday, June 27, 2021, Deputy Rule conducted a traffic stop on a stolen vehicle at Tippecanoe Avenue and Pacific Street in the city of San Bernardino. The driver of the vehicle identified as Ryan Smith was detained. Smith was on felony probation and had an outstanding no-bail warrant issued by Probation. The passenger of the vehicle was identified as Kristina Mical. During a patdown search, Mical advised she had a pistol hidden inside the front of her pants. A black semi-automatic .45 caliber handgun was located. A record check revealed the firearm was stolen out of Bakersfield.
Smith was arrested for P.C. 496D(A)- Possession of a Stolen Vehicle and a felony no-bail warrant. Mical was arrested for P.C. 25850(C)(2)- Possession of a Stolen Firearm. Smith and Mical were transported and booked at Central Detention Center.
