A fatal traffic collision occurred on Sunday, June 27th at Hesperia Road south of Lemon Street

VICTIM(S): 46-Year-Old Male
SUMMARY:
On Sunday, June 27, 2021, at approximately 7.48 a.m., deputies from the Hesperia Station and rescue personnel from the San Bernardino County Fire Department, responded to a reported traffic collision on Hesperia Road just south of Lemon Street in the City of Hesperia. Upon arrival deputies determined a motorcycle that was traveling north on Hesperia Road had driven off the roadway into the desert for unknown reasons, causing the driver to be ejected from the motorcycle. The driver was pronounced deceased on scene by emergency personnel and the cause of the collision remains under investigation. It does not appear any other vehicles were involved. Alcohol impairment and speed of the vehicle at the time of the collision are being considered as factors. Identification of the driver is pending notification of next of kin.
Hesperia Road from Lemon Street to Mojave Street was closed for several hours while deputies from the Hesperia Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) processed the scene.
