Personal Injury Crash 
Sheriff Richard J. Behnke, reports that on 7-1-21 at approximately 13:25 HRS his office was called to assist with a pursuit out of Middlebury P.D. coming into Cass County needing assistance. M-40 near Hoffman Rd. in Newburg Twp. Cass County, MI.
Investigation shows that Chase Ryan Rohm 30-year-old of Three Rivers, MI was fleeing from police and while avoiding stop sticks loss control of his vehicle crashing into an electrical pole, overturning, and come to rest in a ditch.
Rohm was transported to Three Rivers Hospital with injuries suffered in the crash. Unknown if seatbelts were used drugs may have been a factor in the crash. Crash remains under investigation currently.
Deputies were assisted on scene by Newburg Fire, Newburg Ambulance, Three Rivers Ambulance, Middlebury PD., Pokagon Tribal Police, MSP, St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Dept.
