Fireworks are ILLEGAL and pose a danger to our community! Help protect Orinda from wildfires this Fourth of July!
The Orinda Police Department would like to remind all city residents about fireworks during the 4th of July holiday. All fireworks are illegal in Contra Costa County. Besides posing a danger of causing serious injury or death, fireworks pose a significant risk of causing a wildfire that could threaten the community. Additionally, the possession and use of fireworks can come with serious legal repercussions. Please enjoy your Independence Day…but without fireworks.
