Accident Investigation 
CPD is investigating an auto vs pedestrian accident on Raritan Rd. near the intersection of Westfield Ave. A Jetta travelling eastbound on Raritan Rd. departed the roadway and struck a pedestrian who was walking westbound on the sidewalk in front of Santander Bank. The pedestrian, an 85 year old resident, was airlifted to Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in New Brunswick. The driver of the Jetta stayed on scene and is cooperating with CPD.
